ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Credit unions in Hawaii that want to learn how to manage their card portfolios, or even to begin issuing credit and debit cards, will be welcome to a one day tutoring session being hosted in a Honolulu hotel by PSCU Financial Services. PSCU processes credit card transactions for credit unions that use the Denver, Colo.- based First Data as their processor, but the firm emphasized that that July 10 session will be open to all Hawaii's interested credit unions. The firm took the step of taking a seminar to Hawaii after it became concerned that the distance and logistics problems prevented more of the island's credit unions from taking part in the card educational opportunities provided other credit unions, explained Karen Arnold, spokeswoman for the Florida firm. Following the group meeting, PSCU Financial Services executives will also make one-on-one presentations to each member-owner credit union, providing detailed performance analysis for use in strategic planning, the firm said.
