Erie Shores Credit Union, Inc., Maumee, Ohio, has broken ground on new facilities in Oregon and Rossford. The 2,550 square-foot branches created by Cincinnati design/build firm DEI, feature a striking exterior with a rounded center design, topped with an atrium shaped like the top of a lighthouse. The design will be incorporated into all of ESCU's new branches. The new branches are expected to open in October 2003. TruWest Credit Union, Scottsdale, Ariz., has broken ground on a new Austin, Texas branch. The branch is scheduled to open in January 2004 and will feature safe deposit boxes, extended weekday hours, Saturday hours, drive-up windows and a drive-up ATM. The 12,000 square foot building will also be the `home office' for TruWest Credit Union in Austin. Fresno County Federal Credit Union, Calif., has opened its fourth branch at Cedar and Nees. The 7,000 square-foot facililty is a full service branch that includes two ATMs. Built by The Taylor Group the branch features a unique architectural design. Leyden Credit Union, Franklin Park, Ill., has selected design/build firm The Redmond Company for its 11,948 square foot office. The recently completed $2.39 million project marks the credit union's first freestanding facility. The new facility includes a drive-up teller area and drive-up ATM machine.
