LENEXA, Kan. – This summer CommunityAmerica Credit Union is hoping to serve members "More Fun, Well Done" by teaming up with Northern League Baseball Kansas City T-Bones. The over $1 billion credit union now owns the naming rights for the minor league club's new stadium for the next 10 years. "We are proud to be associated with the T-Bones as the team makes its mark on the Kansas City sports landscape" said CommunityAmerica CU President/CEO Michael Patrick. "This sponsorship represents a partnership between two organizations that share in the ideals of giving back to the community and offering today's families what they are looking for – whether it be the simple joy of watching a baseball game together or simplifying the household finances so there's more time for family fun." The stadium will have 4,500 fixed seats and room for an additional 1,000 in the picnic and outfield areas. Season tickets recently went on sale and over 50% have already sold. The T-Bones are Kansas City's first Northern League baseball team. According to CommunityAmerica CU Senior Corporate Communications Specialist Rachel Spear the partnership was a no brainer and the credit union approached the T-Bones to see if there were any sponsorship opportunities. "This is really a big sports town and everyone here is just so excited to have this team here," said Spear. "Being a part of this will increase our name recognition in the community and right now we are still finalizing the details on how to enhance the marketing opportunities." The umpire will be shouting "play ball" at the CommunityAmerica Ballpark on June 6 in time for the team's first home game.
