<p>Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union, Lowell, Mass., has been presented CUNA Diamond Awards for two marketing initiatives. The awards were given in recognition of the Credit Union's Internet Marketing program and Membership Packets, Brochures or Booklets provided to help new and existing members familiarize themselves with Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union's products and services. The entries were judged against similar materials prepared by credit unions nationwide with assets of $250 million to $499 million. This is the third consecutive year Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union has been recognized by CUNA for its outstanding marketing programs. Digital Federal Credit Union, Marlborough, Mass., has presented its first annual Business Partnership Award to six businesses that provide outstanding service to the credit union. The companies receiving the awards were EasCorp; Lending Solutions, Inc.; NES Group, MA; P & M Graphic Associates; Priority Publications; and Attorney Scott King. Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, Anchorage, has been presented the 2001 Sponsor Achievement Award from the Children's Miracle Network for its outstanding commitment to children and increased volunteer and financial support year after year. All the contributions from Alaska USA will directly benefit the children receiving care in CMN hospitals in Alaska and Washington. Providence Medical Center is the designated Children's Miracle Network hospital in Alaska and serves children throughout the state as a regional center for specialized care. Virginia Credit Union League, Lynchburg, has honored Guardian FCU board member Richard J. Losea as the 2002 Volunteer Of The Year for his service to Guardian FCU, it's members, and his community. He has previously been selected as the Tidewater Chapter's Volunteer Of The Year. Losea, a retired Coast Guard captain has served on Guardian's board since 1995 and currently chairs the credit union's Asset Liability Management Committee. Guardian FCU, located in Portsmouth, Virginia is the credit union of the Coast Guard Fifth District and is the largest Coast Guard Credit Union on the East Coast. Mobiloil Federal Credit Union, Beaumont, Texas has been presented the 2001 Customer Development Process Award for developmental projects with their Southwest Marketing Division. The Customer Development Process Award, sponsored by CUNA recognizes and honors a credit union for their outstanding involvement in business and customer enhancement projects. Neighbors and Families Together Federal Credit Union, Pharr, Texas, has been named the recipient of the Betty Scharff Memorial Award as the Help One Student To Succeed Non-Profit Institution of the Year. Over 1,000 schools across the nation were eligible to nominate candidates for the award. NAFT Federal Credit Union was cited for its dedication, leadership, and outstanding contributions to HOSTS Language Arts Program at Henry Ford Elementary School in Pharr, Texas. NAFT Federal Credit Union volunteers have tutored "at risk" students for 13 years in reading and writing. E&A Credit Union, Port Huron, Mich., Interim CEO Janice C. Rose, has successfully completed the CEO Institute from the Credit Union Executives Society's Center for Graduate Studies, and has earned a Certified Chief Executive designation. The CUES CEO Institute is a professional development program designed specifically for credit union executives. Maine Credit Union League, Westbrook, service subsidiary Synergent has received five first-place and two second-place awards during the 18th annual Printing Excellence Program awards event presented by the Maine Graphic Arts Association. Out of the seven awards, Synergent has received four awards for its design services and three awards for printing services. The PEP Show recognizes the talents of printers and designers in the State of Maine. Riverside County's Credit Union, Calif., has been named the "Business of the Year" by the Greater riverside Chambers of Commerce. This award comes on the heels of RCCU being named the NAACP "Corporation of the Year" and a top five finalist for the "Top Company to Work For in the Inland Empire" by the Business Press. RCCU strives to maintain a positive work environment through employee morale programs, and encourages employee growth through education-tuition programs, community involvement and training and development. Greater Warren Community Federal Credit Union, Warren , Ohio, has honored CEO Mickey Wilson with the first "Mickey Wilson Spirit of Giving Award". The "Mickey Wilson Spirit of Giving Award" represents the continuous generosity, benevolence, and community involvement that Mickey Wilson demonstrates. The credit union's board of directors acknowledged her as a "community role model" and implemented the award to be a credit union legacy in her name. Greater Warren Community FCU will present this award every two years to one of their credit union members who best exhibits the "spirit of giving". CUES, Madison, Wis., has recognized both Kinecta FCU Senior Vice President of Marketing Teresa Freeborn and Charlotte Metro Credit Union Vice President of Marketing Deb McLean as the 2002 "Marketers of the Year". In addition, CUES has named Sandia Area FCU Executive Vice President Scott H. Connely its 2002 "CUES Operations Professional of the Year". Cabrillo Credit Union, San Diego, has been presented a first-place CUNA Diamond Award for its segmented marketing campaign in the assets less than $100 million category. The campaign targeted the credit union's single-service members and encouraged them to increase their participation of Cabrillo CU products and services. Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, St. Paul, Minn., has been presented the 2002 CUES Golden Mirror first place award in the category of non-agency print marketing with assets more than $400 million. Affinity Plus' eye-catching direct mail piece highlighted a home equity loan or line of credit by offering two airline tickets to Mexico when members opened accounts. The award-winning mail piece showed a kid-size pool on the front with the question, "need a bigger pool?" The inside displayed a beautiful, clear ocean view with blue skies and palm trees asking the question, "how about this?" This is the fourth year Affinity Plus has won a CUES Golden Mirror award for its marketing plans.</p>
