<p>MADISON, Wis. – Credit union volunteers can now say "Aloha" while registering for the CUNA Center for Professional Development Volunteer Leadership Institute conference. The conference takes place during a Hawaiian cruise. In addition, a meeting space will be made available for credit unions to conduct their annual planning sessions. Participants leave from Ensenada, Mexico on May 10 for a ten-day cruise aboard the Celebrity Infinity. Running from May 11-14, the conference will cover such topics ranging from CEO performance appraisals and executive compensation/ incentive plans, to disaster recovery and regaining member confidence during economic uncertainty. Speakers include James Likens, chairman of 1st City Savings FCU in Los Angeles; Todd Spiczenski, director of educational programs and events for CUNA's center for professional development; and Mike Schenk, vice president of economics and statistics for CUNA. On May 15, the ship reaches its first Hawaiian destination and until the 20th participants will visit Hilo and Kailua Kona, Hawaii; Lahaina, Maui; Nawiliwili, Kaui, and Honolulu Oahu.
