American workers are having trouble relaxing. Even when they go on vacation, many feel guilty about it, according to a new survey.
The poll was conducted by Alamo, the rental car service, which clearly has an interest in encouraging Americans to take more vacations.
It finds that 49 percent of U.S. employees report feeling shamed for taking time off work. Young workers are the most likely to feel guilty about vacation: 68 percent of millennials say they have felt shamed for requesting paid time off.
