RBC Wealth Management says that Nate Angelo has been tapped as the firm’s head of wealth management consulting. In this role, Angelo will support some 1,800 advisors nationwide with some $310 billion in client assets.

Angelo spent 11 years with Russell Investments in Seattle (2002-2014). He then launched an investment management firm that merged with Columbia River Advisors in 2016.

“RBC is committed to making investments in both people and technology to provide our valued clients with the trusted service and expertise they deserve,” said Ann Senne, head of the advice and solutions group at RBC Wealth Management-U.S., in a statement.

“As head of wealth management consulting, Nate and his team will work to equip our financial advisors with the in-depth knowledge and best tools to help our clients achieve their financial goals,” she explained.

The news of Angelo’s hiring comes about one week after RBC said it hired Michael Parker away from HighTower Advisors to be its new head of advisor recruiting.

“RBC Wealth Management is well-positioned to provide the very best personalized advice and counsel through our diverse expertise and deep knowledge of the sophisticated financial needs of our clients,” said Angelo, in a statement. “I am excited about the opportunity to continue to build and structure the wealth management consulting teams to increase our success in helping financial advisors deliver personalized advice to clients.”
