Timothy Geithner's term as treasury secretary won't end until 2013: White House

Despite his plan to step down as Treasury secretary if President Obama won a second term, Timothy Geithner said he will stay on through inauguration to help avoid the fiscal cliff. Geithner won over many Republicans after helping the White House negotiate a budget deal last year to raise the debt limit and cut the deficit.
