Personnel Changes: Lincoln, NY Life, Securian, Transamerica

Lincoln Financial Distributors, subsidiary of Lincoln Financial Group, Philadelphia, has hired Francisco Navarro to be a regional sales director with the defined contribution/ 401(k) team.

Navarro previously was regional sales director at Mass Mutual Retirement Services Inc., Springfield, Mass.

Navarro attended California State University, Northridge.

New York Life Insurance Co., N.Y., has promoted Katherine O’Brien to be senior vice president and deputy general counsel in the Office of the General Counsel.

O’Brien previously was vice president and deputy counsel in the Office of the General Counsel.

O’Brien has a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University and a J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School.

Securian Financial Group, St. Paul, Minn., has named current vice president and chief actuary Leslie Chapman, to be chief risk officer.

Chapman has a bachelor’s degree from Moorehead State University.

Transamerica Capital Inc., The Hague, Netherlands, has hired Scott Ramey to be head of business development.

Ramey previously was division sales manager in 2007-2008 with Transamerica Capital Inc.

Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education, Arlington, Va., has hired Jaimee C. Niles to be vice president of communications.

Niles has a bachelor’s degree from Drake University.

Nationwide Financial Services, Inc. Columbus, Ohio, has named five new field service representatives for their private sector retirement plans sales.

The new field service representatives are:

Jamie Anderson, who will serve the Nebraska/Iowa and Minnesota Territory;

Pete Cressor, who will serve the Ohio and Western Pennsylvania region;

Darin Hall, who will serve the Kansas, Oklahoma/Arkansas and Louisiana territory; Cindy Hank, who will serve the Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. territory; and Ron Salvemini, who will serve the Northern California and Northern Nevada Territory.

AlwaysCare Benefits, Baton Rouge, La., has hired Danny L. Bentley to be senior vice president and head of sales.

Bentley previously managed the sales, distribution and profitability of the St. Louis and Kansas City offices of Marsh USA, N.Y.

Bentley has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama.

Benefit Advisors Network, Cleveland, has hired Wendy Skoch Hart to be the vertical marketing coordinator.

Hart is a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.

Symetra Financial Corp., Belllevue, Wash., has announced that senior vice president of enterprise development Jennifer Davies and vice president and chief information officer Troy Olsen-Blair plan to retire at the end of this year.

Davies joined Symetra in 1992 as the head of the company’s individual life business and prior to her current role Davies led the company’s life and annuities division. Upon her retirement, her current job responsibilities will fall under chief financial officer, Margret Meister.

Olsen-Blair retires after 30 years with Symetra. Her responsibilities included delivering technology platforms, business process enhancement s through automation, and technology infrastructure. A search to fill her position will begin immediately.
