We’re right smack in the middle of a particularly busy week here at Life Insurance Selling.

At noon Eastern time on Thursday, I’m moderating the first of three events scheduled in our 2010 Web seminar series – “Opportunities in the DI Market.” The one-hour Web seminar is free, and you can join the more than 500 already pre-registered at this link: http://lifeinsuranceselling.com/WebSeminars/Registration/DImarket.html?pc=ban

During the event you’ll hear about up-and-coming disability insurance market niches as well as proven sales strategies from our distinguished panel of DI experts: John F. Nichols, CLU, DIA, president of Disability Resource Group in Chicago (who also happens to be the 2010 Disability Insurance Awareness Month national spokesperson); Steve Crawford of Guardian Disability Insurance Brokerage, who has been one of Guardian’s top three DI producers every year since 2001; and Ann Baker Ronn, LUTCF, a partner at The AFP Group in Houston who is an 11-year MDRT member with three Court of the Table qualifications.

Our panelists will also take questions from the audience during the final 15 minutes of the event. Sign up and join us for some great insight into this vital yet underserved market.

At the conclusion of the Web seminar, I’ll be heading straight to the airport to catch a flight to New York City to serve as a judge for the LIFE Foundation‘s 2010 “realLIFEstories” Client Service Awards. The winning entries will be featured in a special issue of Newsweek later this year, and the winners will also be honored during the 2010 NAIFA convention this September in Seattle.

As is the case every year with realLIFEstories, there are some incredibly compelling examples of the difference life, health, long-term care and disability insurance coverage has made in the lives of families and businesses, and I’m sure this year’s winners will further the mission of encouraging Americans to examine their insurance needs.
