An insurer is offering new reporting, tracking and communications tools for leave management program clients.

Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford (NYSE:HIG), says it is trying to appeal to employers with 500 or more workers with new reporting and tracking features, new self-service tools, and more flexible communications tools.

Employees at employers that adopt the features now can submit leave requests online.

In other insurance technology news:

- The retirement services division at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, Springfield, Mass., has created a website that lets retirement plan advisors and employers simulate a visit to the grand rotunda in MassMutual’s headquarters building.

Once users are “in the rotunda,” they can choose one of six paths to learn more about MassMutual’s resources and services.

The “virtual site visit” is available at http://www.massmutualrsdemo.com/virtualvisit

- Fort Dearborn Life Insurance Company, Downers Grove, Ill., a unit of Health Care Service Corp., Chicago, and its affiliates have introduced a new website to showcase the new Dearborn National brand.

Fort Dearborn Life and its affiliates, which now operate as Dearborn National, began a rebranding campaign Jan. 1.

The new site, at http://www.dearbornnational.com, offers separate producer, employer and individual pages along with a sales rep look-up feature.

- Intelimedix L.L.C., Lakeland, Fla., a unit of BP Informatics L.L.C., has introduced Tru:Insights, an updated version of a product that helps employers and others manage and analyze benefit plan data.

The product now can provide an integrated enterprise database for each group account; a single virtual desktop for all users; and a variety of views, including book-of-business views, employer account views; and member-level views.
