Personnel Changes: AEGON, Delta Dental, Others

AEGON N.V. has promoted William Tate to executive vice president of AEGON Financial Partners, a U.S. division.

Tate previously was executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Transamerica Insurance & Investment Group, Los Angeles — another unit of AEGON, The Hague, Netherlands.

Transamerica has promoted Michael Babikian to succeed Tate. Babikian, who will be senior vice president of marketing at Transamerica Insurance, previously was vice president, strategic marketing services.

In other personnel news:

- Dentegra Group Inc., San Francisco, has promoted Jeff Album to vice president, public and government affairs, from director of public affairs.

Album is president of the board of the California Association of Dental Plans, Sacramento, Calif. He also is a member of the board of the National Association of Dental Plans, Dallas.

Album has a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a master’s degree in communication from Stanford University.

- UMB Financial Corp., Kansas City, Mo., has promoted Dennis Triplett to chief executive officer of UMB Healthcare Services, from president of Healthcare Services.

Triplett is chairman of the HSA Leadership Council at America’s Health Insurance Plans, Washington.

- The Fringe Benefit Group Inc., Austin, Texas, has hired Ron Safarik to be vice president of health operations and promoted Paul Gaudet to director of group benefits-government markets.

Safarik previously was vice president of budget and process improvement at World Insurance Company, Omaha, Neb.

Safarik has a bachelor’s degree in business from Doane College. He holds the Fellow of the Life Management Institute professional designation.

Gaudet previously was a regional vice president in Fringe Benefit’s government markets division.

Gaudet has a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in business from Southeastern Louisiana University.
