MEGA Life and Health Insurance Company has introduced a family of dental insurance products aimed at individuals.
MEGA, a unit of HealthMarkets Inc., North Richland Hills, Texas, says the new products offer 3 levels of coverage and do not require applicants to buy a health plan or have an association membership.
Features include 100% in-network coverage for preventive dental services.
The associated provider network has contracts with 62,000 dentists.
Coverage now is available in Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Virginia, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Wyoming.
The plans will be available in South Carolina and Texas Oct. 27, HealthMarkets says.
HealthMarkets hopes to make plans available in 15 additional states in 2009.
