The federal services arm of Health Net Inc. helped sponsor a sporting event for veterans who use wheelchairs.
Health Net, Woodland Hills, Calif., sponsored the 27th National Veterans Wheelchair Games, which recently took place in Milwaukee.
Veterans who suffer from spinal cord damage, amputations or neurological problems competed in tournaments involving activities such as swimming, table tennis, archery, bowling, basketball, power soccer, wheelchair slalom, and quad rugby.
The event was organized by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs and Paralyzed Veterans of America, Washington.
