State Street Global Advisors will add redemption fees to three international stock funds and a high-yield bond fund next month in an effort to discourage investors from rapidly buying and selling shares.
The 2% redemption fee, which will take effect on December 15, will apply to shares of the SSgA High Yield Bond Fund (SSHYX), the SSgA Emerging Markets Fund (SSEMX), the SSgA International Stock Selection Fund (SSAIX), and the SSgA International Growth Opportunities Fund (SINGX) that are sold within 60 days of purchase. The fees will be paid directly to the funds.
