Marilu Henner has agreed to help the Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education, Washington, educate the public about the importance of life insurance and disability insurance.[@@]
Henner, the actress who played Elaine on the television series “Taxi,” will be the spokeswoman for the LIFE Foundation’s second annual Life Insurance Awareness Month, which is scheduled to take place in September.
The LIFE Foundation says Henner will make a good representative for life awareness month because her father died at the age of 52, when she was 17. Henner’s father had life insurance, and the life insurance benefits helped Henner, her mother and her 5 brothers and sisters keep their home, the LIFE Foundation says.
