America’s Health Insurance Plans, Washington, today helped launch an online clearinghouse for employers and consumers who are interested in the new health savings accounts.[@@]
The site is posted at http://www.hsadecisions.org
The Small Business Administration is co-sponsoring a Learning Center section on the HSA site. The Learning Center section provides an HSA glossary and other HSA reference materials for consumers and small business owners.
The site also includes breaking news about HSAs, interviews with health care experts and stories about consumers enrolled in HSAs. In January, Roy Ramthun, senior advisor on health initiatives for the U.S. Treasury Department, will answer frequently raised about HSAs.
AHIP President Karen Ignagni says her group worked with the SBA to set up the HSA site because of growing interest in the topic.
The site “serves as an important example of the role public-private partnerships can and do play in helping consumers and small businesses,” Ignagni said here today at a press conference held to introduce the site.
