N.Y. Life Brings In Financial, M&A Executives

New York Life Insurance Company, New York, has hired Gregory Deavens to be a senior vice president and Russell Bundschuh to be a first vice president.[@@]

Deavens is responsible for financial analysis, and Bundschuh is responsible for mergers and acquisitions, New York Life says.

Deavens previously was head of investor relations at CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida A&M University.

Bundschuh has been a partner in the Florham Park, N.J., office of McKinsey & Company since 2000. Before that, he led a technical sales team at IBM Corp., Armonk, N.Y., that handled the business of one large insurance account, New York Life says.

Bundschuh has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a master’s degree in business from the University of Pennsylvania.
