Members of the influential employer council spent 2 years preparing the plan, which sets out 9 quantitative goals that the council hopes the United States will achieve by 2014. The plan covers long term care and stock ownership systems as well as employee health care and retiree health care.

Scheduled participants in the briefing, which will be held in Washington, include Reps. Rob Andrews, D-N.J., ranking member of the U.S. House of Representatives Employer-Employee Relations Subcommittee, and John Boehner, R-Ohio, chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Education and the Workforce Committee.
