Kaiser Promotes IT Executive

NU Online News Service, Oct. 9, 1:42 p.m. – Kaiser Permanente, Oakland, Calif., has promoted Mary Henderson to vice president of national HIPAA compliance and information technology compliance.

Henderson has been responsible for helping Kaiser comply with the new federal data communications standards established by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act since 2000.

Her new duties will management of data security and regulatory impact analysis, Kaiser says.

Henderson was also in charge of Kaiser’s efforts to prepare its computers for the year 2000.

Henderson has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University, a master’s degree in public health administration from the University of California, and a master’s degree in business from the University of California.
