NU Online News Service, Feb. 7, 10:28 a.m. – SHPS Inc., Louisville, Ky., the company that runs the CareWise nurseline, says it has opened a second call center in Louisville because of strong demand for CareWise services.

SHPS is hiring 20 more registered nurses to support the CareWise program, SHPS says.

CareWise provides 24-hour access to nurses. The nurses can cut claims costs at employer-sponsored health plans by helping patients decide whether they must seek professional medical care or whether they can handle health problems themselves, SHPS says.
