NU Online News Service, Jan. 9, 1:53 p.m. – CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, says it will be using technology from Yahoo! Inc., Sunnyvale, Calif., to make personalized Web sites available to the 16 million members of CIGNA health and retirement plans.

Plan members will be able to use the sites to perform tasks such as reviewing health claims, ordering medicines, analyzing financial goals and moving funds from one 401(k) plan investment fund to another, CIGNA says.

The sites will be generated using tools from Yahoo! Enterprise Solutions, the Yahoo! business communications unit, CIGNA says.

CIGNA says it hopes to introduce the new Web sites by June 30 and offer them to all retirement plan sponsors by Dec. 31.

The company also hopes to offer the sites to most health plan sponsors by the end of the year.
