NU, John Hewitt Sponsor Broker Survey

National Underwriter and John Hewitt & Associates (JHA) are conducting their first joint online Employee Benefits Broker Survey and are inviting brokers to participate.

Market pressures are not new to the brokerage community. But up-to-the-minute market information has become particularly critical for brokers in the last year. During that time the brokerage industry has experienced consolidation, and increased competition.

In addition, employers are requiring more assistance in understanding their options and the various insurance products available.

The National Underwriter/JHA survey will help brokers in the employee benefits marketplace gain a better understanding of how their peers are reacting to market pressures. By participating, employee benefit brokers have a unique opportunity to benchmark their own practice with that of their peers.

Sections of the survey cover the following areas:

–Quoting process.

–Client Services/Relationships.

–Compensation packages.

–Future of the Industry.

The survey is free to all participants and should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.

Only those brokers who participate will be eligible to receive a detailed summary of the results to such questions as:

–What are the biggest challenges facing the employee benefit marketplace?

–What rate increase range would cause you to go out to bid?

–What methods do you use when requesting a quote?

–What value-added services do you offer?

–How satisfied are you with your current compensations structure?

Brokers should go to www.nunews.com/survey/s1.asp to register and complete the survey.

The results of the survey promise a great deal of important information for a small investment of time. National Underwriter and JHA encourage brokers to respond to the survey now.
