First Industrial Fills Toronto Portfolio

TORONTO-First Industrial Realty Trust Inc. recently completed a deal to fill 93,000 square feet in its Toronto portfolio. The deal, with Alliance Sales & Distribution Inc., a Canadian distribution company, will bring occupancy to 100% in the market for First Industrial.

“We are pleased that our building met ASD’s requirements, enabling them to expand their business and remain in the Stratford submarket,” says David Carreiro, regional director for First Industrial’s Toronto region.

ASD will occupy a portion of the 280,000-square-foot distribution center here in the Wright Business Park. Located at 114 Packham Rd., the facility will be used to package and distribute interactive videogame accessories.

In conjunction with First Industrial, Matt Dickson and Michael Conrad of DTZ Barnicke helped complete the transaction.

In Toronto First Industrial owns and manages roughly 1.2 million square feet of space. The Chicago-based company also owns 107 acres of developable land that could house up to 2 million square feet of industrial property in the future.
