Aerotropolis Getting Solar Power

HAPEVILLE, GA-A local supplier of solar cells intends to light up the former Ford Motor Co. plant here once it is converted to a 130-acre mixed-use commercial complex. The offer by Suniva Inc. to Aerotropolis Atlanta could be worth tens of millions of dollars, according to Jacoby Development Inc.

Aerotropolis plans entail 6.5 million square feet of office, retail, restaurant and hotel space. The aviation-intensive business district will also offer convenient parking to nearby Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
