PARSIPPANY, NJ-FirstService Williams has appointed executive managing officer Jeff Schotz to head up its New Jersey office. With this new designation, all lines of operations at FirstService Williams’ New Jersey office will be consolidated under Schotz’ oversight.

As head of the New Jersey office, Schotz will focus on expanding the company’s tenant and landlord representation business in New Jersey, with an emphasis on the strategic development and expansion of business service lines, including building brokerage and ownership services as well as investment sales.

On the heels of Schotz’ appointment, FirstService has also formed a Senior Leadership Council at the New Jersey office. Members of the newly formed council include Schotz, Eric Witmondt, Bryn Cinque, John Cunningham, David Csontos, Drew Persson, Jamie Drummond, Ward Greer and–from the New York office–Joseph Caridi. The council will provide advisory support to both Schotz and the New York-based executive team tasked with helping to expand existing and new service lines.

“The designation of Jeff as head of FirstService Williams’ New Jersey office and the formation of the Senior Leadership Council reflect our tremendous commitment to New Jersey’s commercial real estate market,” company CEO Mark Jaccom tells GlobeSt.com. He adds that the firm is currently seeking to optimize its expansion capabilities within the state as an important part of the company’s overall growth. To aid in this strategy, he says, “we will be hiring aggressively and investing in our New Jersey operations to promote our expansion and ensure our competitive edge in this market.”

Schotz’ 29-year-plus career in the New Jersey commercial real estate industry includes a previous position as senior vice president and managing director at Reckson Associates Realty Corp.–now known as RXRCorp.–where he was responsible for overseeing its 3.5-million-square-foot portfolio throughout New Jersey.

Prior to joining Reckson, Schotz was senior vice president of CB Richard Ellis, where he was branch manager for the Brokerage Services group. During his tenure at CB Richard Ellis, the New Jersey division saw its revenue increase by over 50%.
