BRIDGEPORT, NJ-Univeg America Inc. has signed a lease for 108,783 sf of industrial space at Liberty Property Trust’s 406 Heron Dr. here. The international food processing concern, which is based in Belgium, will occupy three-quarters of the 145,000-sf, single-story building.

The move is part of Univeg’s expansion within the US, an effort that’s being done in concert with the California-based Ready Pac Foods. Univeg America will use the location for warehousing and distribution in the tri-state region. Terms of the signing were not released.

Univeg’s new building in South Jersey’s Gloucester County was constructed in 1998. It’s situated within the Gateway at Pureland section of the Pureland Industrial Complex, a 30-year-old, 3,000-acre planned industrial park that currently has 100 buildings totaling 15 million sf under multiple ownership. The Malvern, PA-based Liberty Property Trust owns several buildings within the park.
