CoreNet Names Chairman of Australia, New Zealand

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA-CoreNet Global has found its next region chair for Australia and New Zealand. The international professional association serving corporate real estate executives tapped for the assignment Bruce Richards, the national portfolio manager for the Australia Postal Commission.In his day job, Richards is responsible for a portfolio of 520 properties valued in excess of $1.15 billion and occupying about 8.8 million sf. Prior to the Australia Post, he held senior positions with major Australian corporations such as the National Australia Bank, Westpac and other development companies. As Australia and New Zealand Region Chair, Richards will serve as an associate member of the CoreNet Global Board of Directors. Richards replaces Warrick Hobart, who had served as Australia and New Zealand Region Chair since early 2003. CoreNet Global counts 7,500 members who manage for their companies a combined 700 billion sf of real estate valued at more than $1.2 trillion. CoreNet Global operates in five global regions: Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America and North America.
