TEANECK, NJ-Some well-known names took top honors at the annual gala awards dinner of the New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties at the Glenpointe Marriott here. Nearly 900 people attended the event.

Cushman & Wakefield of NJ, represented by EVP Andrew Merin, picked up NJ-NAIOP’s Deal of the Year Award for the disposition of City Place, formerly known as the Promenade, in Edgewater, NJ. Other finalists for the award were also recognized, including CB Richard Ellis for a deal involving the subleasing of Merrill Lynch’s space in West Windsor to Tyco International; and Trammell Crow for completing a complex series of transactions for Sappi Fine Paper.

NJ-NAIOP’s Annual Impact Award was shared by two companies. Jeffrey Kelter represented Keystone Property Trust, which was cited for its impact on the Garden State’s industrial market. Keystone, of course, is in the process of being acquired by ProLogis.

The other Impact winner was the Cranford, NJ-based Mack-Cali Realty Corp., represented by president/CEO Mitchell E. Hersh. His company was cited for its involvement in the Meadowlands Xanadu project.

And the chapter gave a Lifetime Achievement Award to developer David Steiner. The award was presented “in recognition of his significant personal accomplishments, as well as his distinguished record of service to the community and the industry,” according to Jeffrey Schotz of GVA Williams of NJ, who presented the award.
