New Owner, Same Space for Plastic Films

SCHILLER PARK, IL-A change in ownership will not mean relocation for a tenant at the O’Hare International Industrial Plaza. Huntersville, NC-based G.E. Polymershapes, formerly Plastic Films, Inc., is staying in 29,500 sf at 10525 Delta Pkwy.

Plastic Films had been a tenant at O’Hare International Industrial Plaza for 11 years before being acquired by General Electric. However, G.E. Polymershapes signed a long-term lease extension that includes $150,000 in tenant improvements from the property owner, Glencoe-based OHIIP, LLC.

Podolsky Northstar Realty Partners principal Steven H. Podolsky represented OHIIP LLC in negotiations with Fred Meyer of Facilities Plus Realty of Cherry Hills, NJ.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated lease deal in the O’Hare area, OTC Inc., a division of Waukesha, WI-based The Olson Cos., has signed a 21,388-sf lease at 5300 Proviso Dr. in Melrose Park, owned by Boston-based AMB Property II LP. Hamilton Partners Inc. partner John F. Baxter represented AMB Property II in negotiations with NAI Hiffman VP Stephen A. Sullivan.
