Park 80 West Gets 1125 KW On-Site Generator

SADDLE BROOK, NJ-RealEnergy Inc., based in Woodland Hills, CA, has signed a contract to install and operate an 1125 KW on-site generation system for Park 80 West. The two-building, 488,000-sf class A office complex is owned by the Chicago-based Transwestern Investment Co.

The system will provide about half of the complex’s electricity, according to RealEnergy CEO Alan Krusi, as well as additional resources for heating and cooling the property. The rest of Park 80 West’s power requirements will continue to come from local utility resources.

“This is our first venture in the Northeast,” according to Krusi, who notes that his company currently has 17 systems operating around the country and another 19 systems in the design/engineering phase. The system at Park 80 West is also the second one RealEnergy has done for Transwestern.

The system will utilize three natural gas internal combustion engines monitored remotely by RealEnergy via a private web network and the company’s proprietary software systems.
