Last Phase of Stonecrest Office Campus Begins

SAN DIEGO-The third and final phase of an office complex in the Kearny Mesa area is going under construction.

American Assets Inc. owns the Stonecrest Office Campus at 9665 Granite Ridge Drive, designed by Tucker Sadler Noble Castro. The architectural firm recently completed construction documents for the project.

Dick Balestri of CB Richard Ellis is the leasing agent for the 314-acre campus, which encompasses four buildings accommodating office, research and development as well as financial facilities. The third phase will include one three-story building of about 60,000 sf.

The first phase was completed in 1989 and comprises one, three-story and one six-story building totaling more than 170,000 sf of class A office space. Phase two, completed last year, includes one six-story, 112,337-sf shell office building and a two-story, concrete parking structure thataccommodates 382 vehicles.

Sundt Construction is the general contractor for the latest phase.
