Hail can cause serious property damage to vehicles, roofs and structures, and can result in hefty claims payouts. For insurers and property owners, knowing where and how often these hail loss claims occur can help mitigate the risk of this weather event.

Recently, the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) released a three-year analysis of insurance claims associated with hail storms in the United States, calculating the total hail loss claims in that period and identifying which states had the highest number of claims.
