Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer AspenInsurance, a division of Aspen Insurance HoldingsLtd., has appointed Sean McPhillips as senior vice president andhead of its U.S. primary casualty operation.
|Based in New York, McPhillips will lead the planning, strategyand execution of the primary casualty operation throughout theUnited States and will report to David Cohen, Aspen’s president andchief underwriting officer.
|"Sean is ideally qualified to lead our U.S. primary casualtyoperation based on his expertise, strong relationships, andthorough understanding of the market," Cohen said in astatement.
|McPhillips joined Aspen Insurance in early 2016 as vicepresident of primary and excess casualty. Prior to joining Aspen,he served as vice president and head of primary casualty forcapspecialty, where he launched the primary casualty department,developing underwriting guidelines, coverage forms, and acomprehensive distribution strategy.
