Chalk that up as advice that would have saved a hotel valet inNew Delhi, India, and his bosses at the LeMerdien hotel, a hugeheadache this week after he crashed a customer's Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder right infront of the valet stand just seconds after getting behind thewheel. The owner of the car, who claims it is (was?) worth$500,000, was understandably less than impressed, afterwatching his supercar scrape against several other cars in thedriveway before slamming into a pillar.

|

According to the Times of India, the valet driver was injured inthe crash. The car is said to be nearly totaled.

No word yet on who will be left holding the bag for this.

So what does the claims community think of the incident? PC360reached out to Kevin Quinley, CPCU, with Quinley RiskAssociates in Richmond, Va., who quickly reminded us that theinsurance business doesn't have to be dull. “The valet has justbeen qualified as a bona fide New York City cabbie!” he said.

And, this being 2014, of course there's video of the incident.Look away, sports car lovers, look away.
