The Griffith Insurance Education Foundation said it will jointhis year with four universities to conduct eight training sessionsfor high school and junior high school business teachers.

Teacher and Guidance Counselor Institutes will be conducted inpartnership with Ball State University, Muncie, Ind.; theUniversity of Central Arkansas, Conway, Ark.; Mississippi StateUniversity, Starkville, Miss.; and Saint John's University, Queens,N.Y.

Last week the Foundation began this year's Insurance EducationInstitute schedule with sessions at The South Carolina BusinessEducators Association conference in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

|

Teachers who are accepted into the program receive a scholarshipcovering all expenses with the exception of travel to and from theInstitute. The scholarship includes: graduate credit/continuingeducation credit, room and board, classroom materials, textbooks,technology and university fees.

Griffith Insurance Education Foundation is an educationalnonprofit organization that provides risk management and insuranceeducation programs and resources for teachers and students,institutions of higher education and public policymakers.
