Chicago-based insurance broker Aon Corp. said it will change itsNew York Stock Exchange common stock ticker symbol to "AON" from"AOC" effective Dec. 1.

"The Aon name is globally recognized as the industry-leadingprovider of risk and human capital solutions. Changing our tickersymbol to 'AON' extends this recognition and links our common stocklisting with our brand," said Greg Case, Aon's president and chiefexecutive officer.

Aon counts more than 36,000 individuals as part of its worldwideenterprise with more than 500 offices in over 120 countries.
