Erie, Pa.-based auto insurer Erie Indemnity Company said MarciaA. Dall is its new chief financial officer, replacing Philip A.Garcia, who is leaving the company after 28 years of service.

Ms. Dall was previously CFO for the health care division ofCigna Corp. health services company, and before that was acorporate officer for Genworth Financial Inc. serving as CFO forinternational and U.S. mortgage insurance segments, the companysaid.

Erie President and Chief Executive Officer Terrence W. Cavanaughsaid Ms. Dall "has extensive and varied experience, and will be atrue asset to our executive team."

The June 2008 issue of CFO Magazine listed Ms. Dall as numberfive on their list of 25 Women to Watch, the magazine's "pipelineof women poised to become Fortune 500 CFOs."

Mr. Garcia, who has been Erie CFO for the past 11 years, willremain with Erie until April 30 to help with the transition of hissuccessor, under an agreement reached last June.

According to Highline Data, a subsidiary of NationalUnderwriter parent company Summit Business Media,Erie is the 14th largest automobile insurer in theUnited States and the 20th largest property-casualtyinsurer based on direct written premium.
