ACE North America in Philadelphia announced today that RobertCourtemanche has been named chief executive officer of ACE PrivateRisk Services.

Mr. Courtemanche's appointment took effect on Monday, thecompany said.

He will be based in Madison, N.J., and will be responsible fordirecting the overall growth and profitability of ACE's personalinsurance lines, including ACE Recreational Marine and Private RiskServices, the North America-based high-net-worth personal linesbusiness of ACE, the firm said.

ACE Private Risk Services provides specialty coverages includinghomeowners, automobile, umbrella liability, fine art andcollections insurance for affluent individuals and families.

In addition to his North American responsibilities, the companysaid Mr. Courtemanche will partner with the ACE Overseas Generalleadership team in leading ACE's expansion into the high-net-worthbusinesses across the globe.

He will report to Brian Dowd, ACE's CEO for Insurance-NorthAmerica. Reporting to Mr. Courtemanche will be Daniel H. Olmsted,president, ACE Private Risk Services, and Damon R. Hostetter,senior vice president, ACE Recreational Marine.

ACE said Mr. Courtemanche has more than 20 years of personallines insurance industry experience, with a special focus onleading businesses that insure the assets of affluent clients.

The new CEO had been at Fireman's Fund, where he served aspresident of its Personal Insurance business.

|

ACE said his past employment includes time as senior vicepresident of American International Group's Private Client Group,as well as management positions at Chubb & Son Inc.
