Acordia Acquires Ohio Firm
|NU Online News Service, Oct. 29, 10:29 a.m.EST?Insurance broker Acordia Inc. has acquired the MalenasInsurance Agency, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio.
|Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
|Malenas has been in the business since 1980 and providesproperty-casualty and benefits insurance solutions to its clients.The agency will be combined with Acordia's office in Cleveland.
|In a statement, Dan Goldapp, regional managing director ofAcordia's Midwest Region, said that Malenas would strengthenAcordia's presence in Ohio.
|Acordia, based in Chicago, is a subsidiary of SanFrancisco-based financial services company Wells Fargo &Company.
