The bill would also outlaw the use of cell phones, BlackBerrys, video games or other electronic devices when crossing the street. Although there have been a few earphone-related pedestrian deaths recently, some feel the proposal is excessive. Attorney E. Christopher Murray asked, "What's next? Do you get fined if you don't look both ways?"
