New York City’s public nuisance action against a Georgia sporting goods shop, one of the three remaining defendants in the city’s effort to hold 27 out-of-state dealers responsible for the use in New York crimes of guns they sold, will go forward following a Brooklyn federal judge’s denial of the shop’s motion for summary judgment.
In a written decision Wednesday, Eastern District of New York Judge Jack B. Weinstein found that the claim for personal jurisdiction against defendant Adventure Outdoors had only strengthened since the court denied two motions to dismiss.
