New York City's attempt to reverse a ruling that it was fully liable for the 2003 Staten Island Ferry crash that left 11 dead and scores injured ran into some tough questioning yesterday at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. During oral argument, the panel saved their most pointed questions for the attorney representing the city, who insisted that the ferry's pilot, who passed out at the wheel from a combination of painkillers and fatigue, was entirely responsible for the accident.
