Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is set to appoint non-equity partners in even its most profitable jurisdictions after voting through the new rank last week (28 June).

The secondary rank of partners, who will not have voting rights and will be remunerated via a salary and share of the equity, had been expected to be introduced in less profitable regions such as Asia and Central and Eastern Europe.
