Lawyers are used to being the butt of jokes about their, er, alleged avarice. So it is gratifying to report evidence during our research for the Legal Week Awards of a seam of generosity running through the profession when it comes to acknowledging the efforts of others. The process involved a mixture of quantitative and qualitative research. At the quantitative end, we have conducted an array of surveys, including the Legal Week Intelligence 2005 Client Satisfaction Report, which drew on responses from 226 senior corporate counsel.

At the same time, Legal Week’s editorial team has conducted more than 200 interviews with senior members of the profession.
