A medium-sized UK law firm has become the first legal practice anywhere in the world to set up an offshoring operation that sends legal work to Africa.

In setting up a new law firm in South Africa to handle referrals of bulk, low-cost legal cases, Underwoods – a specialist personal injury (PI) law firm based in Hemel Hempstead – has entered into a very close partnership with its primary IT supplier, Emis.
