Hogan & Hartson has bolstered its West Coast technology practice with a senior California lawyer after hiring the head of bio-science from the legacy San Francisco firm McCutchen Doyle Brown & Enersen.

William Thomson, McCutchens’ former bio-science chair, moves to the Washington DC-based firm’s Los Angeles branch.
Thomson will work primarily in Hogans’ IP litigation group at a time when interest in contentious patents work has grown strongly following the two-year collapse in transactional technology work.
