Dutch firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek has followed its recent separation from Linklaters by hiring Jaap Winter, a key figure behind the controversial European Commission (EC) takeover code.
Winter, currently adviser to Unilever’s management board, is joining the firm as a partner, at a time when his international profile could not be higher.
