Unlike all but a handful of City solicitors, representatives from the Lord Chancellor’s Department did bother to travel up to The Law Society’s annual conference in Birmingham the other day.
But, if consultant Suzanne Burn is anything to go by, their bid to persuade more solicitors to become judges will have fallen on deaf ears.
