shazia manusThe American Business Awards inFairfax, Va., announced Wednesday that payments processor TMG in Des Moines, Iowa won the Bronze Stevie Award in theFastest Growing Company of the Year category.

The award came in recognition of the company's record growth in2015.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” theawards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony in New Yorkon June 20. More than 3,400 nominations from organizations ofall sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted forconsideration this year.

“This recognition is shared with our financial institutionclients, many of which exceeded their own strategic growthmilestones last year,” TMG CEO Shazia Manus (pictured) said. “We also have passionateemployees and industry-leading sister companies and strategicpartners, including CO-OP Financial Services and First Data, toname a few, that contributed to our growth and success.”

Ninety-eight percent of TMG's credit clients have successfullyconverted their mag stripe cards to EMV chip cards. In addition,60% of the company's clients either have completed the same or arein process of completion on the debit side, according to TMG.

As for digital wallets, 75% of TMG's clients have enrolled in at least Apple Pay, if not alsoAndroid Pay and Samsung Pay.

“The community [of] financial institutions is on the verge of abreak-out moment with consumers,” Manus said. “Their [creditunions' and community banks'] willingness to pilot newtechnologies, execute innovative strategies and adapt theirproducts and services has allowed us to grow alongside them – notonly in size and scope, but also in influence.”
